Résumé de la thèse | My dissertation, on the one hand, is on the syntactic cartography of Chinese you(有), which behaves like English auxiliary have. It involves the discussion in the field of tense, aspect, affirmation and modality; on the other hand, concerning the relation between English BE and HAVE, the counterpart of BE in Chinese is shi (是), which can be used in the context without VP, like English Do in ellipsis sentence. My dissertation is on the discussion of these two functional elements, especially on their features and positions. |
