This workshop is an introduction to experimental research on scalar implicature. We will especially focus on two topics that are currently actively investigated: priming and scalar diversity. The workshop consists of three lectures and three lab sessions. In the lab sessions, we will analyze data from our recent experiments using R. (We unfortunately cannot offer training on R, so familiarity with R will be presupposed).
